NORCOM Properties has announced a lease has been finalized with Super Dollar Discount Foods for approximately 26,000 square feet of space at River Park Shopping Center in Vinton, Virginia. In addition, a self-serve gasoline fueling station will be constructed on site and operated by that tenant. An additional 2.58 acres is available adjacent to the site.
Super Dollar Discount Foods is a subsidiary of K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. headquartered in Abingdon, Virginia. With 94 stores operating under the name “Food City”, K-VA-T has recently opened four of its Super Dollar stores which offer a limited assortment. The Food City banner dates back to 1918 with a store in Greeneville, Tennessee, but K-VA-T Food Stores’ real beginning was in 1955 when its chairman, Jack C. Smith, and several family members opened a store in Grundy, Virginia. Since that time, Food City has grown in leaps by acquisitions of several Piggly Wiggly operations in Southwest Virginia and Eastern Kentucky, along with Quality Foods/Food City, White Stores, Winn-Dixie and BI-LO units in east Tennessee. The company has also grown steadily by expansion into new areas, filling in gaps in the trade area with new units and always remodeling and replacing current units to stay on the cutting edge of grocery technology, production selection and consumer demand.
Construction is currently underway to subdivide the existing anchor space at River Park Shopping Center, and the premises are expected to be delivered to K-VA-T Food Stores by early August. At that time, the premises will be upfitted by K-VA-T who expects an opening in November.
Brian Cillian of NORCOM Properties will be marketing the remaining space of approximately 1560 to 4480 sq. feet. An additional 9700 sq. feet is available as well.

Located just outside of the Raleigh city limits at the corner of Wendell Blvd/US 64 and Manor Lane in the heart of Wendell, NC. Wendell is projected to be the next big booming area of Raleigh.
Currently the town lacks any true retail, restaurant, office, and overall commercial presence. As a result we feel the Village of Wendell will serve the demand from the community.
Shown is the site plan for the project and we do have additional information upon your request. We feel the presence of your business would be perfect for the overall vision of the development.
The site has 3000 square feet available, as well as a 26 acre outparcel available.
